Workshop Controller – JLR Ashford

An opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Controller to join our team at our JLR recovery centre based in Ashford. This role reports directly to the Service Manager and will play a key role in supporting our service operations.

Working hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am to 5.30pm. 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota.

You will be responsible for:

· Allocating technicians work in priority order with clear instruction

· Diligent planning of resources and workload

· Organising vehicle movement to and from the workshop

· Communicating progress with front of house

· Timing up visual health checks

· Problem solving and overcoming objectives

· Working as part of a team to drive productivity and improve client experience

· Providing accurate and efficient administration

· Ensuring a high level of workshop cleanliness and colleague safety

· Encouraging and guiding technicians to deliver an outstanding performance

We are seeking an outstanding candidate with technical expertise and previous experience as a workshop controller. The ideal applicant will be highly professional, well organised and meticulous in their attention to detail. You will be expected to use your initiative and maintain focus when working independently, while also contributing positively and collaboratively as part of a dynamic team. Exceptional communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential, along with a proactive, efficient approach to completing tasks. A full, clean UK driving license and proven ability to drive safely and competently are required.
