Sales Administrator - Barretts Jaguar Land Rover Canterbury

We are currently recruiting for an experienced and enthusiastic Sales Administrator to join the team at our prestigious Jaguar Land Rover retailer in Canterbury. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a highly successful dealership and play a crucial role in supporting our busy Sales Department.

As a Sales Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vehicle sales from order through to handover, ensuring all documentation, manufacturer standards and compliance requirements are met. Working within a fast-paced environment, you'll manage multiple tasks and deadlines while providing essential administrative support to the sales team and wider business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Vehicle invoicing and financial administration.
  • New and used vehicle stock purchasing and stock management.
  • Electronic deal file management, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate and fully auditable.
  • Maintaining compliance with manufacturer, FCA and automotive regulatory requirements.
  • Processing finance settlements and supporting vehicle funding requirements.
  • Managing DVLA keeper changes and vehicle registration administration.
  • Conducting customer and vehicle due diligence checks.
  • Monitoring and reporting vehicle stock movements and producing regular stock reports.
  • Coordinating new and used vehicle preparation processes, ensuring vehicles are ready for customer delivery within required timescales.
  • Liaising with the Sales, Accounts, Service and Valeting departments to ensure seamless customer handovers.
  • Maintaining accurate records across dealership management systems and manufacturer platforms.
  • Supporting the department with a variety of day-to-day administrative duties and process improvements.
  • The successful candidate will be highly organised, methodical and capable of working accurately under pressure whilst meeting tight deadlines. You will have excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.

    Previous experience within a motor retail sales administration role is highly desirable, along with knowledge of Kerridge (ADP), Drive or similar dealership management systems. A good understanding of automotive compliance, vehicle registration processes and manufacturer standards would be a distinct advantage.
