Set off in silence driving the DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE 4x4 in electric mode. With a 50 kilometre range (WLTP), it’s enough for your commute. As a result of knowledge gained from competing in Formula E, the DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE 4x4’s “BRAKE” function extends its range by generating electrical energy when decelerating and braking.
Furthermore the E-SAVE function lets you keep enough battery power to drive the final 10 or 20 kilometres of your journey in 100% electric mode with no greenhouse gas or polluting emissions. That means you can still get around town if there are emissions restricted zones.
The DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE 4x4’s battery charges to full in an hour and 45 minutes from a dedicated 32A power outlet with a 6.6kW charger, or in eight hours from a regular 8A socket.
The cockpit of DS 7 CROSSBACK stands out with its unique features such as the ‘Clous de Paris’ Guilloche finish, B.R.M R180 timepiece and the ‘pearl’ stitching. With complete attention to detail, the E-TENSE 4x4 hybrid model has an embossed E on the gear lever, a nod to the electric concept car.
DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE 4x4 will initially be launched with the DS Inspiration RIVOLI interior with Pearl Grey trim.
Offering the complete driving experience, the all new E-Tense model provides four driving modes:
The drivetrain is a 200hp (147kW) petrol engine combined with two electric motors totalling 109hp (80kW) and an electronic 8-speed automatic transmission (EAT8). Total power is 300hp with torque of 450 Nm, accessed in Sport mode.
In Zero Emissions DS 7 CROSSBACK E-TENSE 4x4 can cover 50 kilometres (WLTP cycle and up to 60km in NEDC) because of its 13.2kW/h battery capacity. Its range will cope with daily trips around town or motorway journeys at up to 135km/h. When battery charge is low or lack of grip demands it, the internal combustion engine steps in.
Delegate partial control of DS 7 CROSSBACK to DS Connected Pilot. This employs ACC Stop & Go (Adaptive Cruise Control) to maintain a safe distance to any vehicles in front.
The DS 7 CROSSBACKwill stay securely in the middle of its lane thanks to LPA (Lane Position Assist). However, you can retake control whenever you want.
Using infrared, the DS Night Vision shows what’s ahead in the dark, highlighting vulnerable road users on the instrument screen.
DS first developed hydropneumatic suspension in the 1950s - inspired by this, DS engineers have now introduced DS Active Scan Suspension. This innovative damping uses a camera to detect imperfections, potholes or lumps in the road surface ahead. The suspension then adjusts instantly for maximum comfort.
