On Thursday 25th September, Barretts Motor Group was proud to host Porchlight’s inaugural business networking event, held in our Canterbury Jaguar Land Rover showroom. Porchlight was founded in 1974, and seeks to create “a safe home, better life and fairer future for everyone”.
The evening was one of balance and belonging as community leaders joined together to connect, reflect, and celebrate. Patsy Barrett warmly welcomed guests, sharing her inspired commitment to Porchlight after meeting a service user and hearing firsthand of the help that they had received.
Tom Neumark, Chief Executive Officer of Porchlight, gave coverage of the breadth of the services that Porchlight offers. His words were brought home by Mossy, a former service user, who spoke emotionally and passionately of his indebted commitment to the charity following them “saving his life.”
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the wonderful people of Porchlight and the vital work that they do, to Laura Taylor of Wild Box who did a fabulous mocktail making display, and to Macknades who donated nibbles for the evening. Finally, and most importantly, to our attendees of the evening, and to those who have pledged their commitment to support the Porchlight charity.
