Barretts MINI Supports Pride Across Kent.

This summer, Barretts MINI was proud to support two fantastic celebrations of inclusion, diversity and community, taking part in both Canterbury Pride's 10th anniversary celebrations and Ashford Pride 2026.

On Saturday 6th June, we had the honour of leading the Canterbury Pride parade as the city marked a decade of colour, community and self-expression. In true British fashion, the rain made an appearance, but it certainly didn't dampen the atmosphere.

At the front of the parade, our MINI Convertible embraced the moment. Roof down, rain falling, and absolutely no intention of doing things halfway. If you were there, you might have spotted out "Look at me, I'm topless" messaging raising a few smiles along the route, as two incredible drag queens brought the energy, turning the car into a moving celebration filled with dancing, waving and music.

The crowds matched matched it every step of the way, umbrellas up, spirits high and cheers echoing through the streets. It was a wonderful reminder that Pride is all about showing up, celebrating together and embracing exactly who you are, whatever the weather.

Our Pride celebrations didn't stop there. We also delighted to attend Ashford Pride for the second consecutive year, continuing our support for another fantastic local event that bring people together in a welcoming and inclusive environment. It was brilliant to see the event continue to grown, with entertainment, community groups and local businesses all coming together to support love, equality and self-expression.

Proud to Support Our Communities

Being part of Canterbury Pride and Ashford Pride made this summer particularly special for the Barretts MINI team. Whether leading a parade through the heart of Canterbury or joining the celebrations in Ashford for a second year, it was an opportunity to connect with our local communities, show our support and add a little MINI personality to two incredible events.

A huge thank you goes to the organisers, volunteers, performers and sponsors who make these events possible each year, and to Cheryl at Go Girls Signs for bringing our Convertible to life with such a fun, head-turning message.

We loved being part of such a special celebration and are proud to support our local community.
