The My BMW app allows you to access and view your vehicle as a whole without needing to go to your BMW. - Is there enough range for a spontaneous road trip? Did you lock the car? Are all doors shut? What is the mileage? Find your answers in the palm of your hand.
The My BMW app offers you an ever-growing range of remote features for your car, all available at your fingertips around the clock. Lost your car in a busy car park? You can easily log in to your app and flash your headlights to light your way, your BMW doesn't even need to be in sight for the apps features to work. Keep an eye on your BMW’s surroundings and rest assured that everything is fine with your vehicle. Using the remote view, you can conveniently check your BMW's 360° surroundings using the advanced Remote 3D view - available for selected models with the Parking Assistant Plus option.
What’s more, you can also remotely update your BMW software using nothing more than the My BMW app, so you can always stay up to date.

You can now set up Amazon Alexa* in your BMW with the help of the My BMW app. Using the voice button found on your steering wheel, you can access Amazon's Alexa service, thanks to the new Amazon Alexa Car Integration tool. Just like she does on your home devices, Alexa can assist you with your enquiries when you simply say 'Alexa?' followed by your command or question.
With this feature you can enjoy playing your favourite music on demand, checking the weather, update your calendar, find a local restaurant and much, much more.
* Amazon Alexa is currently supported on BMW models with the latest multimedia software Operating System 7.0. Functionality for other operating systems will be coming soon.
With BMW having the option for keyless entry you can now integrate the new digital car key through your My BMW app. This allows you to securely lock/unlock and even start your BMW with your phone.
This option is available on selected Apple iPhones and Apple watches.
What's more, you can authorise up to five other people to use you BMW - just send them an invitation from your iPhone wallet app. Here you can decide the type and how much access they get, including many safety setting such as limiting how fast they can travel.
