Featuring an elegant, highly aerodynamic design, Jaguar I‑PACE has been created to provide efficiency by slicing cleanly through the air for maximum range and stability. Jaguar I‑PACE seamlessly integrates technology and abundant space. The interior design is clean and uncluttered, with tactile features and sweeping lines. The nature of the electric powertrain offers additional space, providing more freedom to maximise the comfort provided by Jaguar I‑PACE’s interior.
Under the skin, I-PACE is radically different from an internal combustion-engined car. Instead of a petrol or diesel engine, it features two extremely lightweight and compact Synchronous Permanent Magnet Electric Motors.
To deliver maximum power in the smallest possible footprint, the two Synchronous Permanent Magnet Electric Motors are positioned lower in the vehicle, contributing to the low centre of gravity and enhancing I-PACE's control, handling and agility. I-PACE's electric motors are quieter and create fewer vibrations than conventional internal combustion engines – with none of the interruptions normally associated with gear changes.
One full charge provides a range up to 292miles (470km) on the WLTP cycle*.
Instant torque and all-wheel-drive traction gives I‑PACE the acceleration of a sports car. It reaches 60mph in 4.5 seconds.
Jaguar I‑PACE’s 90kWh battery is made up of high energy density lithium-ion pouch cells. Its design and state-of-the-art thermal management system supports longevity and periods of sustained maximum power.
Jaguar I‑PACE is propelled by two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors. Similar to the technology found in the Jaguar I‑TYPE Formula E racing car, these motors generate 400PS and 696Nm of torque.
Jaguar I‑PACE has a compact footprint from the outside but exceptional space within. There are five full seats, innovative storage, a substantial rear loadspace of up to 656 litres (1,453 litres with the rears seats folded) and 27 litres in the front storage compartment.
With a 50kW DC rapid charger – the kind found at most public charging stations – Jaguar I PACE can achieve up to 168 miles of range per hour**.
*WLTP (Worldwide harmonised Light vehicle Test Procedure) is the new process that has been phased in from 2017, which measures fuel, energy consumption, range and emissions in passenger vehicles in Europe. This is designed to provide figures closer to real-world driving behaviour. It tests vehicles with optional equipment and with a more demanding test procedure and driving profile.
